Quiet Lakes Improvement Association

Teal, Lost Land and Ghost Lakes Improvement Association

Pay Annual Dues

Permanent and seasonal residents and tourism business owners who live on or within one mile of Teal, Lost Land, or Ghost lakes are eligible and encouraged to become members of the Quiet Lakes Improvement Association (QLIA), as are renters and campers who spend at least 30 days per year on or adjacent to these three lakes. Dues in 2023 are $50 per year for individuals or families, collected and applied on a calendar-year basis (January 1). The State of Wisconsin limits our ability to collect dues to $50 maximum per year.

Association Membership

The Quiet Lakes Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Your membership dues and any other donations are deductible to the full extent of applicable tax law. We depend upon our members for their volunteer activities and for their financial support in the form of annual dues and other donations.

Why become a member of the Quiet Lakes Association?

  • You will have a voice in our lake community. Being a member of the QLIA will provide a dialogue with the lake association and also the County, State and Federal organizations that support our lake eco-system. It is important that we have a strong and proactive voice with all of these important resources and having a strong foundation of Membership is important to the future of our lakes.  

  • You will have access to our information about our lake ecosystem. We have collected and will be collecting  invaluable Information about the ecological health of our lake’s water, fish, plant life, shoreline and watershed. All of this information will be shared for your review and understanding.

  • You will be invited to the QLIA social functions. Currently we hold an Annual Meeting in July and Annual Picnic in August.  We plan to host an Annual Fund Raising event starting in Summer 2023.

  • You will have the chance to take real actions to protect our lakes. Our Board, Committee’s and Members work hand in hand with our State and local DNR resources to protect and improve the natural eco-system of our lakes. environment.
